Firm Profile
After graduating law school, Howard Shapiro worked as a prosecuting attorney for Collin County District Attorney's office and later served as a municipal judge. Howard Shapiro started this law firm more than 30 years ago and was recently joined by his son, Todd, following his service to the Dallas County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney for nearly three years.
While serving his clients in the practice of law, Howard Shapiro has remained an active part of the community through his involvement in civic and charitable activities. Howard Shapiro was elected president of the Plano School Board, the Plano Rotary Club and has served as a Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way and the Plano Sports Authority. Howard Shapiro has served as a member of the Men's Athletic Council at the University of Texas. He also served as president of both the Plano and Collin County bar associations.
While the Shapiros aren't sure their clients are too concerned with all the activities they've been associated with, they are sure their clients want to know that they understand their situation. The Shapiros appreciate that, outside of dying or needing surgery, fighting criminal charges, going through a divorce or recovering from severe personal injury are the most serious things a person has to face. Because they know this, they insist that if you need to talk to them, they're going to be available, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The legal process goes much slower than most people think and they want you to know that when you retain them, you'll be as satisfied with them at the conclusion of your case as you were when you began.
